Clerk of the Board
The Clerk of the Board Department maintains the official records of legislative actions made by the Assessment Appeals Board, Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission, Sacramento Regional County Sanitation Districts, and additional hearing bodies. The Department receives, certifies, and preserves all documents as specified by the Sacramento County Charter and government statutes. Additional services include administrative support to the Board of Supervisors, public meeting management assistance, Board Chambers and Hearing Room reservations, and completing requests for records and research. The Department accepts claims, appeals, Statements of Economic Interests, conflict of interest codes, Ethics certificates, and membership applications for County Boards and Commissions.
MODIFIED PUBLIC MEETING PROCEDURES
This announcement pertains to the boards and commissions of Sacramento County. In compliance with directives of the County, State, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and for the safety of all persons, the Clerk of the Board's Office has implemented new and temporary meeting procedures for public meetings. Temporary procedures are subject to change pursuant to guidelines related to social distancing and minimizing person-to-person contact.
Teleconference Live Stream meetings
The Clerk's Office provides meeting services to various County boards and commissions. Public meetings serviced by the Clerk's Office are accessible to all persons via live stream audio and in-person attendance is temporarily closed to the public. Meeting clerks and members of boards and commissions refer to “Best Practices" for guidance.
How to access a public meeting:
Please refer to the respective board or commission meeting agenda for detailed instructions on how to access the live stream meeting and associated meeting material from the Sacramento County Commissions, Boards, and Affiliated Organizations webpage. Click on the board or commission and refer to the posted meeting agenda notice for specific information.
How to submit public comments related to an agenda topic:
Members of the public are encouraged to submit public comments electronically. The Clerk’s Office will distribute electronic comments to members of boards and commissions, respectively, and comments will be filed in the meeting record accordingly. Public comments may be related to a specific agenda item number or for a matter that is not posted on the agenda, referred to as an “off agenda” item.

- Include the name of the board or commission, meeting date, agenda item number and comments. It is optional to include first and last name, and/or general contact information.
Where to submit a request for an accommodation:
